The Greenville Arts Partnership between the Greenville Arts Council, Washington County School Districts and our three community arts partners, Delta Center Stage, Delta Symphony Association and the Delta Children’s Museum, is focused on full arts integration in Washington County elementary schools. Extending Learning Outside of the Classroom
One of the goals of GAP is to provide every student in grades K-6 of our Partnership Districts an opportunity to attend a free field trip that can incorporate the arts into their learning experience. For all Arts Experiences, GAP provides professional development, teacher resources, and evaluations that can be utilized with the field trip. Our hope is that we can assist educators in extending the learning environment beyond the classroom and in connection with the arts.
Incorporating the Arts into the Mississippi Teaching Frameworks
GAP works with each of our partners to develop programs that are relevant to the Mississippi Frameworks, however if there is a different kind of event that would better fit the needs of students GAP can assist in developing new programs or adapting our current offerings to fit different grade level Frameworks.
