featuring decades of paintings from her Shushan Studio

Jean Nimrod for Postcard.jpg

Jean Ann Nimrod is a transplanted Deltan, who set down roots purely by accident. She and her engineer husband hadn't meant to stay when they arrived in the 1960's, but they were evidently charmed by our ways and the delicious drinking water! They ended up staying and raising two children, and have since enjoyed watching grandchildren thrive in the Delta.

Jean paints in oils, and sometimes enjoys pastels. Her subjects generally are scenes from home, and thus her works are not typically for sale; the paintings are her "children." For this exhibit, we coaxed Jean to share her work and even offer a few for sale, rationalizing that she would then have more room to paint even more canvases!

The Delta Artists Association Annual Member Exhibit

November 8 through December 13, 2019

School by Pat Brown.jpg

The Delta Artists Association is a group of 30 to 60 local artists, varying in number each year, who come together and show their work, study and learn together, and celebrate their mutual joy of creativity. They fulfill their purpose by assisting professional and non-professional artists in exhibiting their work in a dignified and professional manner; by providing programs of continuing education and experimentation, leading to individual discovery and personal expression; and by providing a meeting place for artists to gather and discuss different techniques, experiences, and media.
