March 25 is Arts Day 2021! The Greenville Arts Council has submitted our portion of the Mississippi Arts Commission's social media campaign to promote the arts in our state. Please take a look at our offering, which features Greenville resident Lisa Percy, a member of the Mississippi Museum of Art's board of trustees; Will Coppage, Executive Director of the Washington County Economic Alliance; Tim Bixler, Executive Director of Delta Center Stage Community Theatre; Wesley Smith, Executive Director of the Washington County Convention and Visitor's Bureau; and Eleanor Wright, Executive Director of the Greenville Arts Council.

During the Spring Legislative Session, the MS Arts Commission hosts "Arts Day at the Capitol" in the capitol rotunda. Artists and arts organizations share with our state lawmakers the important impact arts have made in our communities and lives of individuals. The Greenville Arts Council recognizes the great impact the arts have made to our community and joins the Mississippi Arts Commission in highlighting the contributions made by the arts.

Please watch this short video and listen as Greenville area citizens discuss the importance of the arts. To view, copy and paste the link below into your browser.
